A brief story of user centered research
- Summer job. Assistant butterfly chaser: age 7
Wendy, a girl in my neighborhood, was fascinated by butterflies. She knew all their Latin names, where to find and how to catch them. She had a meticulously maintained mounted collection and all the equipment of a young lepidopterist. It was my first summer of intense and focused observation and a wonderful time running in the field behind our neighborhood chasing things in flight.
